In this two day natural history program, students will explore the unique landscape of the Arkansas Delta and its wildlife-- unlike anywhere else in the state. They'll experience nature walks and learn how the levee came to be.  Live animals will be on display, including eagles, owls and bullfrogs.  See and touch examples of animal furs from those of bears, foxes, beavers, and more-- animals that were trapped during the Delta's fur trading years.

Presented by the Delta Cultural Center (DCC) "Untamed Arkansas Delta: A Natural History Program for Students" will take place on Thursday, May 14, and Friday, May 15, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., each day. The DCC is located at 141 Cherry St., Helena, AR 72342. Admission is free but registration is required. To register, or for more information, contact Richard Spilman, DCC education coordinator at 870.338.4350, or [email protected] ov.
