Gallery Talk with Artist Aj Smith

On Thursday, June 9, the current exhibiting artist at the Delta Cultural Center, Mr. Aj Smith, will give a gallery talk at the Visitors Center from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.

Mr. Smith, a master printmaker and talented silverpoint drawing artist, is a long-term professor in the art department at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Smith will speak in the temporary exhibit galleries with the examples of his large scale portraits done in graphite pencil, his silverpoint drawings, and his lithographic prints hanging in close proximity. He will describe his methods for creating his awe-inspiring and award-winning artworks now on display in the exhibit “Faces of the Delta: The Art of Aj Smith,” on view now until July 4.

This event is free and open to the public.
