Erica Campbell to Headline 2017 Gospel Fest

The 17th Annual Arkansas Delta Family Gospel Fest, held each May at the Cherry Street Pavilion, features the finest local, regional and national gospel performers. This year’s event will be held on May 20, from 12 – 7 p.m. and will showcase a variety of gospel musical styles.

Canton Jones will open for Grammy winner Erica Campbell, who will headline the festival. Canton Jones wears many hats as a singer, rapper, songwriter, producer, vocal arranger, youth pastor and entrepreneur. He has been singing since age 5 and uses his unique hip-hop sound to share his heart with others. Erica Campbell began her career as part of the gospel music group Mary Mary, but has since flourished in her solo career singing contemporary gospel and R&B music. She recently won a GrammyÒ for Best Gospel Album and now hosts a radio program called Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell.

1:45 p.m. The Ready Boys (West Helena, Ark.)

2:05 p.m. Eternal Light Singers (Marianna, Ark.)

3:00 p.m. Bishop Kenny Robinson and Chosen (Little Rock, Ark.)

3:45 p.m. Shenna Walker (Palestine, Ark.)

4:25 p.m. The Ramp’s Chosen (Atlanta, Ga.)

5:05 p.m. Canton Jones (Atlanta, Ga.)

6:00 p.m. Erica Campell (Inglewood, Ca.)

The Arkansas Delta Family Gospel Fest explores the myriad formats and applications that created gospel music. This festival celebrates gospel music as a uniquely American art form of the Delta.
