2016 Historic Sites Ornament Now Available

Delta Cultural Center - Tuesday, December 20, 2016

The 2016 historic sites ornament featuring Beth El Heritage Hall is now available. They are $15 each, and can only be purchased at the Delta Cultural Center. It is the 9th in a series of ornaments highlighting historic sites in Helena, Arkansas.

Upon its completion in 1916, Temple Beth El served as a place of worship for Helena’s large Jewish population. Due to declining membership, the temple was donated to the Delta Cultural Center in 2006 and renamed Beth El Heritage Hall. The building is a contributing structure to the Perry Street Historic District.

Previous sites featured are Estevan Hall, the Depot, the American Legion Hut, the Phillips County Courthouse, the Doughboy Statue, the Moore-Hornor House, the Helena Museum, and the Helena Bridge. All ornaments are available at the DCC.
